I purchased the Fisher & Paykel 442B recently with the water dispenser and ice making facility. The upside down (bottom mount) configuration is so much better than the conventional setup. I am absolutely impressed.
We’ve got an older F&P E442B (the very first model from the late 90s). It’s been extremely reliable, however the plastic shelves and crisper leave much to be desired. They tend to go brittle after a few years and break. Happily, the shelves/crisper bins aren’t too excessive price wise, and it only needs doing every few years. Just might be something to be aware of with these fridges. Overall, a good fridge let down by some shoddy interior materials.
